Beertender Job Description
Responsibilities
- Serve as the public face of Tradewater Brewing Company in the taproom
- Provide insight and education to customers on craft beer
- Serve craft beer and wine
- Ensure glassware is clean and ready for serving
- Maintain a clean taproom environment for customers
Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience preferred, especially in high-traffic situations
- Flexible schedule with availability on nights and weekends
- Willingness to use digital tools for scheduling & team communication
- Enjoy working in a positive friendly manner
- Ability to take direction and work both independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other staff and management
- Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations, adhering to STAR training
- Must be STAR Certified within 30 days of hire
- Passion for beer and brewing with a desire to keep learning
- Positive, fun attitude and self-motivated work ethic
- Be able to work in a noisy and often very active environment
- Ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of craft beer and beer styles
- Must have weekend availability
- Desire to complete Certified Cicerone Beer Server exam
